All in a summer

Life was filled with guns and war
And all of us got trampled on the floor
I wish we'd all been ready
Children died the days grew cold
A piece of bread could buy a bag of gold
I wish we'd all been ready

There's no time to change your mind
The Son has come and you've been left behind
- DC Talk 'I Wish We'd All Been Ready'
(aka the song that always makes me cry....)

Wow, long time no update! So what's happened in the span of posts? Well I FINISHED EXAMS and I am now a HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE! Summer has begun, and I am loving it. I worked the longest shift yet, said goodbye to Brad and Tanya and my lovely Susana, , and watched Gilmore Girls galore.

I have recently found myself writing more again (some of which was shared on my ancient blog...). Maybe I'll share some more with ya later. With more time on my hands, its very nice to sit down when I have the urge, and write. One of the greatest reliefs.

To all you in Alberta, I MISS YOU TONS! Love you all, and I continue to pray for you and wish you the best of luck. Keep on servicing our great Lord!

I shall leave you with some happy graduates. Aren't you proud? haha

Laters!

Emily

The End of an Era....I'm Ready

Lifting hands in song and dance
Humbled by the glory of the cross
We’ve been redeemed and reconciled
Caught up in the splendor of it all
Eternal life You gave
So we will bring song of praise

How wonderful
How lovely is Your name
You captivate our hearts
You save us by Your grace

God of mercy, God of love
How we marvel at Your majesty
As we kneel before Your holy throne
In the beauty of Your mystery
We are children of the King
Father, of Your love we sing

And You are
Closer than a brother, Jesus
Closer than a brother, Jesus
Oh, the name of Jesus
- Leeland

This is the song that played as I exited Crestwood for the final day of classes, and yes, I got a little teary. If you hear the song, you would too. Leeland just has one of those voices that brings tears to your eyes, along with the music as well. This song definately holds a special place in my heart now.
So as you can guess, I have finished High School classes. I didn't have an exam today, which means I do the next 3 weekdays, but it should be all good. I have English tomorrow, but I have kind of given up on that as you can't really study for English. I'll check over my stuff soon. Monday is the big one, History, and Tuesday is Chem.
I must say, I didn't expect to be as sad as I am. High School definately wasn't one of the best experiences of my life, as most times it was hard, depressing or I felt like I didn't fit into that world. But for some reason, as the bell rang signifying the end of final lunch and a bunch of people started to cry, I realized the significance of it. They say you will never see 95% of the people you went to High School with again (although most of them I wouldn't want to). All that I have known since kindergarten is gone, and its like I'm Starting over (cue Audio A). A brand new, scary, time is ahead of me, and I couldn't feel more ready. Although I know I am not ready for University quite yet, I am ready to begin a new phase of my life. I am ready to take that jump. I am ready to enter a world of the unknown and find a whole new world, that's waiting for me. I'm ready.. for change, and to find out who I really am.

Peace out,
Emily

Down memory lane...

Man, time just seems to fly by. I wasn't going to update, but it was Saturday when I last did, so I might as well. Not much has changed for me here, school is 2 days closer to being finished, my room is clean, and the weather is hot and humid (thunderstorms for like 4 days straight).

Today when I cleaned my room, I found a lot of stuff I had forgotten about. Looking over everything made me realize just how fast everything DOES fly by. Like, I know I have been counting it down, but as of 14 days from now I am no longer legally obligated to go to school. Crazy. I was reminded of old friendships, and fading ones, and new ones that are being created/re-built. Life moves on, and it often leaves people behind. But sometimes, they catch up with you and its great. Other times, they fall too far behind and its too late. When life throws you curveballs, don't let them pass you by. Take them, and hope for the best.

THIS WEEK: Work tomorrow, MY BOYS PREMIERE THURSDAY! Friday basically a gimme day as its formal and everyone is skipping.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SARAH. I love you.
And I love you all.

In Him,
Emily

Time keeps moving on
Through the sunshine and the storm
And my dreams are set in stone
And someday I’ll be who I want to be
For now I’ll wait
For the sun to shine again
And for now I’ll wait
For the rain to pass away

And I’m looking for the brighter days
When all my hurts seem to fade away
I’m looking for the brighter days to come my way
- Leeland (Brighter Days)

^ Yah, so that's the song my title was based off of, I never mentioned that before.

So not too much has changed since my last post. I'm just trying to keep up with Sarah haha, no not really. I bet I'll stop posting in this soon and forget about it. So keep me motivated! lol. Today was Amy and Chris' wedding at Westmount. It was beautiful, she looked incredible. At about 4:45 we are going to be leaving to go to the reception at Trent which means lots of good food (Joely was super excited for that) By the Way Sarah, I got you a picture, ill send it too you soon lol.

Not much planned for the rest of the week. I have to finihs my chem assignment this weekend, but that's pretty much it for homework for the rest of the year. Pretty darn exciting!

Oh, and a special mention to Mike that this blog is for you too while you are at home, and away haha. I know how you felt left out ;).

Well that's it, much peace

Em
(BTW, the font on blogger is screwed up. I only wanted the song italicized)

Post Post....

Okay so I basically created this for my buddies out West to keep tabs on me and make sure I'm not going crazy without them ;). And also because I figured it was time to make a new one...

THE COUNTDOWN IS ON till I am done High School. Only 8!! more school days then 3 exams. I must say, I am rather pumped to be done. I will however, miss cancelled classes (like right now which is why I am slacking and making a blog..) anyways, that's all.

Much Peace,
Em
